We recently checked out Oud, a Palestinian-inspired coffee shop and cafe in Chicago’s River North. The space is cute and lively, with a warm ambiance, perfect for your next coffee date with bestie or even just to get some work done. They’re serving coffees, pastries, sandwiches, salads and much more. They even have their own version of the trending Dubai chocolate! During our visit, we tried several menu items, with my favorites being the Brown Sugar Shaken Coffee, the Saffron Milk Cake and the Dubai Chocolate Cookie. The Brown Sugar Shaken Coffee was creamy and had a nice level of sweetness. The Saffron Milk Cake was perfectly moist with great flavor. The Dubai Chocolate Cookie was probably my favorite thing of all! It was soft and crumbly, with lots of melty chocolate chunks. A must-order item, imo! Swing by next time you’re in River North!

The kunefe was so good that I forgot to take a picture. They warmed it up so it was nice and crispy. Also got the pistachio kunefe cookie that was a bit too sweet for my liking but with some coffee it would hit so well. Unfortunately, I came in the evening so I wasn’t able to try any of their coffee drinks (or else I wouldn't sleep ). Definitely need to come back and try more ! Wonderful service as well and loved that you could do some work there.

It was quite busy when we walked in, a lot of people mingling, studying, or just lounging. My fiancé and I ordered several things, all of which were delicious. She got an Oud Latte, while I got the Spanish Latte, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed - a very rich espresso. We split a Dubai cake which was very fresh but not too sweet. But the highlight was definitely the Focaccia sandwich we ate. We were both floor with how flavorful and fresh it was. Definitely recommend! Wish we had a location near us!

It’s really nice vibe inside. The Dubai Chocolate was great but it tastes and reminded me of a Kit Kat. But was very good. Now I can say I have tried the infamous Dubai Chocolate.

The breakfast sandwich on focaccia was one of the best vegetarian breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in the city! They carefully put down a layer of basil leaves so every bite was perfect and the focaccia was fresh and so flavorful. They also took my request for egg whites only. It’s a perfect breakfast if you’re looking for something casual but not too greasy/overpowering. Flavorful without being overwhelming. Can’t wait to try the pastries! It is a little hard to get seating on the weekend.

OUD Coffee is a cozy and fab little cafe. Their Spanish latte is my new fave! The treats were all pretty tasty - the Dubai chocolate cake was the best part. It was a bit busy on a Sunday, but people move in and out quickly, so I was able to grab a seat.

My second trip here and was just as great as my first trip. The place is busy which tells me something is going on here. We waited in line for about 10 minutes which wasn’t bad as the staff was hustling. The honey matcha tasted great and we had it served hot. The dessert was incredible. So flavorful without that cheap sugary taste. If you’re in the area this place is a must stop.

I came here specifically for the Dubai Chocolate Bar—nothing else, just that—and I’m so happy I finally got it after months of searching! It was absolutely delicious, reminding me of a KitKat but with a subtle pistachio flavor. Totally worth the wait. Five stars!
